Sunnies Face Play Paint Swatch and Review

It's been a while since I posted anything about nail polish. I miss swatching and reviewing nail polish. The time is just about right since Sunnies Face just released their newest line of nail polish: Sunnies Face Play Paint. On this line, I bought their top coat Lucite, and their shades Ginger, and Sugar Plum.

I'm so excited to show you swatches and share with you my thoughts on this product. To know if this nail polish is worth every buck, just keep on reading!

Packaging
Sunnies Face Play Paint comes in a box where the color of the box shows the nail polish shade. The design is minimalistic and clean, with all the information you need. Surely, the packaging is well thought of and carries the Sunnies Face brand.

Sunnies Face Play Paint is packaged in a glass, square-shaped bottle with a really cute, flesh satin to matte bottle cap. The brand of Sunnies Face is carved neatly at the top of the bottle cap. And at the bottom of the bottle, there is a sticker where the shade of the polish is printed.

The brush of Sunnies Face Play Paint is flat and not that wide. The size is just about right to coat each nail of different sizes. It's not too big for my pinky, and not too small for my thumb.

Swatches
Before I show you the swatches, I want to share with you my experience in wearing these different shades of nail polish. With the tapered brush, the nail application is so easy! This nail polish is perfect for those who are not pros at wearing nail polish. Their claims when it comes to on-the-go application is true, because the brush glides easily on the nails with just a few swipes, and the nail polish is quick-dry! I didn't experience any accidents after wearing my nail polish. I also didn't even experience any nail polish bubbles.

These are the swatches of their top coat, Lucite and the shades Ginger, and Sugar Plum.

Wearability
I'm kind of disappointed by the longevity of Sunnies Face Play Paint. It chipped from my nails so fast. It didn't even last 24 hours. This is considering that I didn't wash any dishes nor do my laundry. I was just putting away my stuff, then I was surprised that the whole nail polish on my index finger had chipped.

Sunnies Face Play Paint Swatch and Review

I have a love-hate relationship when it comes to nail polish that fully chip off. I like that it's easy to remove and it doesn't stick too much to the nails. That's when I know that my nails are safer from the chemicals. However, I'm too lazy to keep re-applying every time the nail polish chips.

I don't mind re-applying this nail polish every time it chips though, because this one is super quick to dry and it doesn't bubble even when I apply with the electric fan on. It's just a bummer that this nail polish is ALMOST perfect, if not for the usual chipping of the nail polish. I doubt this will last in the pool or if your nails will be soaked in water.

I will keep this on for a few days more and see how it performs. I will edit this post once I have experienced something new.

Final Thoughts
With its ease of use, Sunnies Face Play Paint is fit for those who are just starting out wearing nail polish on their own. However, if you are a busy woman, or you usually wash the dishes, or you are on a vacation and planning to take a dip in the pool: then this is not for you. You'll just get frustrated with how many times you'll need to reapply this nail polish because it easily chips off.

  • Quick-dry
  • Packaging is minimal and sturdy

  • Not prone to bubbles upon application

Cons

  • Easily chips

  1. Love the Sugar Plum shade! Such a pet peeve for me if I keep re-applying. Haha I'm a busy woman! But nonetheless, if I have extra money to spare (since it is not cheap), I still like to try and wear that. :)
