5 Health and Beauty New Year's Resolutions that's Easy to Stick to this 2020

First and foremost, happy new year! Welcome to my very first post this 2020!

Every start of the year, it's a tradition to have your new year's resolution. There's nothing wrong with having few resolutions. However, we must not be too ambitious - as it might only lead to disappointment.

There are many kinds of resolutions. The most common are fitness and financial resolutions. We want to start working out again, lose (or gain) a few pounds, save up money for something, or put up a business to earn extra income. There are many other resolutions out there but, we take for granted resolutions that will benefit us not only physically, but also mentally, and spiritually.

So, here are 5 easy-to-stick-to health and beauty resolutions that will benefit your body, mind, and spirit this 2020:

Make time for a morning and night skincare routine.

Taking care of your skin and investing your time on a relaxing skincare routine before bed is a luxury that will not require you tons of money. All you need is a facial wash and moisturizer. Once a week, scrub your face with an exfoliator and/or finish it with a relaxing face mask while reading a book. It's the simplest luxury I can think of that will only take you less than 5 minutes to do so. Plus, it will positively impact your mental and physical health.

Workout at least 2 times a week.

We get ambitious when it comes to our fitness resolutions. However, if you get too ambitious: you're just setting yourself up for disappointment. A great tip that will get you to stick to your fitness goals is to take it easy and trust the process. Fitness isn't a horse race that you need to work out every day to get quick results. Results don't come fast. To make fitness sustainable: you need to stick with a workout schedule perfect for your schedule. Working out 2-3 times each week is enough. Build yourself into the routine first. Take it easy. Results come with consistency.

This resolution will positively impact your mental and physical health.

Read a self-help book, or listen to a self-help podcast

Imagine wearing a face mask after your nightly skincare routine. While sitting on your bed, you can also read a good self-help book, or listen to your favorite podcast. Isn't it relaxing? Allowing at least 30 minutes of your time to reading will greatly impact your spiritual, and mental health. It will also change your views in life positively. Take the time either before bed, after waking up, while in transit to work, in a coffee shop, or anywhere that suits your liking.

Swap your sugary drinks/juices for plain water

There are a lot of sugary drinks everwhere, from flavored sparkling water that is said to have zero sugar to fruit shakes and cola. But there is nothing better for our body but water. Water is all we need to hydrate our body. We don't need cola, fruit juices that have high sugar content, alcohol, and sparkling water. It's ok to drink them once in a while. We are still human, and we crave. However, avoid these as much as possible. Your body will thank you later.

Sleep for at least 7-8 hours every day

We tend to overwork ourselves every day. There are times when we say "6 hours is enough sleep". Sometimes even 5! We think that it's fine to lose sleep sometimes but, what we don't know is that we slowly deteriorate our body by not getting enough sleep. If we don't catch enough snooze, we'll have dull skin, dark circles around the eyes, poor memory, and poor focus. Sleep as much as 7 to 8 hours per day. Your body will thank you later.

There you go! These are 5 beauty and health resolutions that are easy to stick to this 2020. Always remember: there are days that you don't feel like sticking to your routine. That's ok. If you don't feel like it, do something else - and switch it up a bit. Once you're feeling better - continue and move forward. Don't pressure yourself into stick to your routine. It's ok to take a break. But make sure to go back and continue what you started.
